Earth Hour!

About an hour and a half ago, I offed all my lights at home to errr.... 'celebrate' Earth Hour. At the beginning, all was well... until i stepped out of my house.

Looking at my neighbors, (left and right) it was almost pitch black. Then I looked across the street, and the old man's house was brightly lit. Looking down the street, lights in the porch was lit at several houses. Disappointing. Then when I entered the house, I notice something was a miss. Oh ya, the house behind mine was also brightly lit. The light cast into my kitchen as though my kitchen light was on too.

*sigh* For some reason I think that this whole program was a failure. What is the point of switching off all lights? How much energy can you save compared to how much we have spent over the years of our life? Ironic. We are destroying in the process of destroying yet we want to conserve.

Absurd isn't it? So maybe just MAYBE this whole Earth Hour thing was indeed a publicity stunt after all.

Or not? ...

iPhone!

Yes! Finally iPhone is in Malaysia, one of the most backward country in the world. I mean, only a hand full of Malaysian will be able to get their hands on it. (Well that excludes me) I mean, COME ON! With that price??? Only the filthy rich can get it. Unless... we go to The States and buy it at a lower price then we crack it. Well that sounds nice, but is it worth it?

Again, me being a hypocrite, I want an iPhone too. Well, as human or as a living organism, I am materialistic and greedy. (who doesn't?)

Come to think of it... is iPhone neccessary for me? Hmmm.... Let's look at it's function.
1. GPS (will I get lost?)
2. iPod (sounds fun)
3. Camera (O.o nice)
4. Going Wi-Fi (wow, who doesn't want?)
5. As a phone (duh!)
6. etc. etc. etc.

Wow, the functions are like heaven for teens like me. Now, let's look at the price.
1. RM 2800 for 6GB
2. RM 3000 for 8GB
3. RM 3300 for 16GB

Hmmm... my laptop only cost RM2100. And I have all the similar function except SMS and calling out and it's not easily portable.

Well, the decision is always up to you and me. If you think it's practical and you have the money to spend then by all means get one...or two. (the other for me please ^.^ just joking) At the end, you are still going to use it, right?

Edu fairs.

Education fairs are suppose to help me to choose the Universities that I want to go to in future, but why am I feeling so depressed in state of being glad? Here's the thing : they are all money sucking vampires.

It's totally absurd. Malaysia wants more medical officers but they DO NOT offer scholarships to those who are doing medicine, dentistry and pharmacy. PTPTN loan is so miserably little. And to get private scholarship, you have excel in all subjects. (Straight As)

Its depressing when they tell you :"sorry we do not offer scholarship" or "medicine, dentistry and pharmacy no scholarship wan wor". 5 out of 5 Universities will tell you that. *sigh*
Life seems rather difficult as you go on. I guess this are part of the obstacles that everyone must face.

Whatever. Hopefully I can get to enter local Uni so I don't have to pay so much.

Back to school.

Yes! I am back to school. No, I am not being THE tormentor but THE tormented! Yes, you guess it. I am the teacher. Everyone says that teachers are so annoying. They nag and nag and nag. But now I am standing in a teacher's shoe. All he time teachers are always thinking of us, giving the best for us. The sad thing is that no one ever understands that.

Actually, it's not tough teaching. The problem is managing the class. Imagine a class with 30 to 40 different individuals. Each with their own unique personalities. The problem comes when all will do their methods to get your attention. By means of being quiet to disturbing friends, sleeping in class to skipping class. There are some who will totally ignore you when you teach!

At the end of the day, when you flashback, thinking of all the good memories, it is at times worth being a teacher. Thinking of the good students, they will always give you a wonderful time. Despite the class being noisy, at the end, when they produce the outstanding results, you will know that all your hard work has paid off.

I would like to appreciate all the teachers for their hard work and sacrifice for the sake of us. Thank you so much dear teachers.
